Her first major role was as a lead cast member on the ABS-CBN sitcom ''Let's Go'' (2006–07) and ''Gokada Go!'' (2007). She starred in the films ''I've Fallen For You'' (2007) and ''The Amazing Praybeyt Benjamin'' (2014). Gonzaga gained nationwide fame for co-hosting the first (2013) and the second (2014–15) season of ''The Voice of the Philippines'' and the first season of ''The Voice Kids'' (2014), for which she won two PMPC Star Awards for Best Talent Search Program Hosts as of 2014. She starred in Veronica B. Velasco, Mikey del Rosario and Paco Sta. Maria's ''Pure Love'' (2014) and Pablo S. Gomez's ''Inday Bote'' (2015). ==Early life== Catherine Cruz Gonzaga was born on January 16, 1988 in Taytay, Rizal, a first class densely populated municipality of Rizal, to Crisanta (Cruz) Gonzaga and the incumbent Vice-Mayor Carlito Gonzaga. She officially changed her name to Alex Gonzaga in 2008. Gonzaga has an elder sister, actress Toni Gonzaga, whom helped her enter the industry.
